Grandson to an archmage whose name still opens doors. That's a lot to grow up next to.
A half-Autochthon evocation specialist who came up through the original Silverrose School of Magic in Citavas, his grandfather William's school, the same way anyone else's grandson would have to: on his own merit, not his family's name, however much people assumed otherwise. His signature staff, black onyx topped with a glowing red ruby and traced in faint golden runes, is rarely far from his hand.
He is, by any mortal measure, an old man now, centuries old, though little of that shows on him. When his adventuring days finally ran their course, roughly two hundred years ago, he didn't retire quietly. He settled in Menboko, drawn by the dwarven state's rare surface-level ley line nexus, and personally petitioned the Emperor of the time, two rulers before the current Krulyn Faederdwerg, for the right to build over it. What he built is the Silverrose School of Magic's Menboko Campus: its own independent institution, no relation to the Citavas school beyond the name he carried into it.

His staff and his spellbook, and two hundred years to learn how to use both.
