The past is kept, the present is breathed, and the future is reaped. Noia predates the rest of the pantheon of Miranda, the silent, patient keeper who holds every record that was ever written, sustains every breath being drawn right now, and waits, without malice, to gather what's owed at the end of it.

Keeper, Breath, and Reaper

The oldest god of Miranda, and the tragedy of his erasement from Voir.

"The past is kept, the present is breathed, and the future is reaped. Man may try to burn the page, but no mortal hand can stay the breath."

I. The Three Great Roles

Noia predates both Iüdex and Caro Vanta, embodying the three great roles of existence: Keeper of Time, holding the past and its ancient truths; Breath of Time, sustaining the living now with every slow, deliberate rise and fall of his chest; and Reaper of Time, claiming the inevitable end that comes for all things. He appears as a towering, thirty-foot figure of smooth silver-white skin, glowing with a soft divine radiance, his polished chrome eyes holding no pupils and radiating a quiet, unshakeable stillness. Intricate golden runes of time trace his forearms and shins, pulsing warmly with every breath he draws. He wears only a flowing, ever-shifting kilt patterned in slate blue, silver, charcoal, obsidian, and white, his divine aura a blend of silver, slate, sky-blue, and a faint warm amber glow.

II. The Erasement of Noia in Voir

In the land of Voir, Noia's sanctuaries were not torn down out of malice, but through the tragic crusade of Monitor, the legendary High Cleric of Iüdex. Centuries ago, Monitor sought to forcibly balance the scales of faith by eradicating the followers of Caro Vanta. When that crusade tipped the cosmic equilibrium further, leaving vast spiritual vacuums across Voir, Monitor established the uncompromising Order of Monitors. In their draconian effort to serve as the sole arbiters and scales of the land, the Monitors hunted down and destroyed all other priesthoods to enforce absolute balance. Noia's faithful among them.

Noia's chroniclers and scholars were quietly purged or driven into hiding, their great scriptoriums burned and their archives laid waste. Today, the ruined sanctuaries of Noia lie crumbling within the hundred-mile span of the Gods Mountains, a desolate, haunted borderland that separates Voir from Seug, standing as a silent testament to the era before the great standoff between the two lands began.

III. The Timeless Library

Noia's true home lies among the Neutral Outer Planes, in the Timeless Library, a sanctum of infinite shelves where every record, forgotten dialect, and expunged truth of Miranda is kept complete, whether or not any mortal remembers it exists. It was here, hand-crafted by the Keeper himself, that the Minute-Glass of the Unbroken Thread was first forged and gifted to his highest chroniclers, so that history might still be recorded through even the most turbulent of eras.

Divine Power

What it means to stand in the presence of a god who holds every moment at once.

Eighty feet around him, time simply agrees to wait. Wounds stop spreading. Spells stop counting down. Even bleeding slows to nothing, because nothing ages, bleeds, or wears down inside Noia's aura unless he decides otherwise. He has never been caught by surprise, not once, in all the ages he has kept, because he perceives every immediate future the instant it becomes possible, and is already prepared for whichever one arrives.

He breathes, and that breath alone is a mercy: allies near him move as though hurried by an unseen hand and heal as though time itself were stitching them back together, for as long as he keeps breathing it. He exhales, and that same breath becomes a verdict, a wave of raw, decaying temporal force that can reach for miles and strip the years from anything caught within it. His unarmed strikes alone are enough to stun a moment out of existence; his sickle, when it lands true, can sever years directly from a life. He can stop time itself at will, without cost or hesitation, and step backward through his own recent past to undo an injury before it ever happened.

He knows every historical truth there is to know. Every forgotten dialect, every expunged record, every lie that was ever successfully told. Noia already has it shelved. And should the worst happen anyway, he holds one more mercy in reserve: the breath to pull a slain creature, or a shattered object, back to exactly how it stood one hour before the world took it away.

He does not rage against endings. He simply keeps them honest, noting each one down, in the same steady hand that has been writing since before the first sunrise.
