Township Record
Wyrdal
"Vale of Fate," or "Destiny's Hollow," a name two hundred years of drift couldn't quite wear smooth.
Location
Deep in the forests of Kastania, one of the six states of Voir
Founding
239 years ago, by Quith Abinor, Grandmaster Thief (Level 25+)
Status
Hidden and self-reliant, Wyrdal remains off official maps
The name comes from wyrd (fate) and hollow (a secluded place): Wyrdhollow, worn by generations of use into Wyrdal. Locals take the drift as fitting: a vale of fate, a hollow set aside from destiny's usual reach.

The Warden and Her Council
Deyna Abinor, Warden of Wyrdal, granddaughter of the town's founder.

Defense
Duskwatch & the Hollow Watch
The Duskwatch: unique to Wyrdal, the Duskwatch patrols the surrounding forests, hunts threats that stray too close, and serves as the town's primary peacekeepers. They guide travelers through the wilderness, manage supply runs to distant trade points, and enforce the council's laws within the township. The main watch is built from trained rangers; some move on to other classes, but all keep a few levels of ranger. They're known by their dark green cloaks bound with bark clasps, and by how little sound they make moving through the trees.
The Hollow Watch: an early defense group formed in Quith Abinor's time, trained to combat the Monitors and conceal the township's very existence. Long since absorbed into the modern Duskwatch, though the old emblem still turns up carved into doorframes and dagger hilts around town.

Local Legends
Gracie Vermillion & the Verms
Once the familiar of Macao, Gracie evolved extraordinary intelligence through long arcane exposure. After Macao's disappearance she fled into the wild and founded a family line of pseudodragons the town has come to call the Verms, mischievous, clever, and semi-tame enough that locals leave out shiny trinkets, scraps of jerky, or odd buttons hoping to catch their attention. Every so often someone swears they've seen a flash of red in the treetops, and wonders aloud whether Gracie herself might still be up there, watching over the town she never quite left.
